Woodlands Train Checkpoint (WTCP)

Woodlands Train Checkpoint (WTCP), formerly known as Woodlands Railway Station, is now the checkpoint to board train and disembark train to and from Singapore and Malaysia beginning from 1 July 2011. Trains will depart from and arrive at the Woodlands Train Checkpoint daily. Tanjong Pagar Railway Station has ceased operation as at 30 June 2011.

At Woodlands Train Checkpoint, there is a Taxi Stand and Bus Stop where you can take either a taxi//cab or a bus to the nearest MRT stations.

1. There is a Taxi Stand just outside the Woodlands Train Checkpoint,

You can take a Taxi or Cab to Woodlands MRT station, Marsiling MRT station or Kranji MRT station as these are the nearest MRT stations.


2. There is a Bus Stop just after the Taxi Stand at the Woodlands Train Checkpoint. From the bus stop, the following buses go to these MRT stations. You can pay by cash or use your EZ-link cards:


Bus to Woodlands MRT Station: Bus numbers 178, 903, 911, 911E, 912, 912E, 913, 913E, 950

Bus to Marsiling MRT Station: Bus number 950

Bus to Kranji MRT Station: Bus number 170
** Important : There are 2 Buses 170 that pass by this Bus Stop. Take the Bus 170 with a plate in front that says "To Queen Street". Don't take the Bus 170 with a plate in front that says "To Larkin, JB" as it will take you to JB! To make sure you are taking the right Bus 170 to Kranji MRT Station, do ask the Bus Driver when you board the Bus 170 as to whether it passes by Kranji MRT Station.
